would like the ability to resource load summary tasks or ability to create a hammock task that will adjust based upon duration of a network of tasks thus adjusting total project resouce requirements as project duration change. Example usage in construction would be: costing of general conditions, select engineering oversight during site work, or costing of tower crane.

Agreed. We have a number of tasks that would go under a "hammock task" that happen in sporadic order, but would all happen as part of the hammock task. We'd like to be able to have the hammock task automatically calculate the amount of hours of all sub tasks, allow a resource to be assigned to it, and allow the hammock task to be associated to dependencies (as opposed to the tasks within).

has the above query been addressed by anyone somewhere in the forums?
my goal is even broader, I'd like to trigger assignment of resources based upon certain activities' evolving dates as I'm dealing more with project-wide, discipline-level management than with specific activity execution resources. is there a way to do this?
thanks!

Currently, resources cannot be managed at the higher level of the project. Each resource must be managed and assigned at the activity-level. Thank you for your feedback and we will consider this feature in a future version of FastTrack Schedule.
